Outbound Sales Specialist

We’re people on a mission to help schools use data more effectively to save teachers time and improve student outcomes. At the moment data is more of a burden than a benefit to teachers. Schools are increasingly required to store vast amounts of information on attendance, behaviour and assessment, which takes teachers hours and hours a week to input and often isn’t used effectively to improve student performance.

We’ve built a great system that improves the input, analysis and communication of school information, saving teachers days of precious time and allowing them to target student interventions more effectively to improve the outcomes of hundreds of thousands of children. Imagine taking the register on your iPad, then having the system instantly text all parents whose child was not in school asking them to confirm their absence by texting the school back. Easy!

Since our launch six years ago, we’ve raised venture capital from top-tier, socially-minded investors, expanded in three countries, and are now working with thousands of schools, helping them to improve outcomes for hundreds of thousands of students. We care about our social goals as much as our business targets and want to make a lasting, positive impact across the education sector. We're growing our sales team and are looking for an Outbound Sales Specialist to reach out to schools and get them excited about the prospect of working with Arbor.

About the role

As our Outbound Sales Specialist, you’ll be:

  • Reaching out to schools and MATs who’ve attended our Arbor Insight training, used our free or paid for reports or attended Arbor’s conferences
  • Identifying new prospects and introducing them to Arbor over the phone or email
  • Using the above methods of upselling to generate leads for the Partnership Specialists to qualify and convert in meetings
  • Working towards personal targets based on sales leads
  • Writing outbound phone campaign scripts and planning sales cadences
  • Acting as a Partnership Specialist on a small territory in some of your time, where you will fully qualify the leads, book meetings and support the field sales team to meet their revenue target

About you

We’re looking for someone with a passion for sales and experience in outbound prospecting, who cares about making a positive impact on schools. Experience in the education sector would be an added bonus!
On top of this, we’re also looking for:

  • A real people person and a great listener who is enthusiastic about interacting with our schools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great prioritisation, organisation and time management skills
  • Someone proactive and driven who enjoys working to targets
  • A real team player who can work constructively and effectively with colleagues
  • Willingness to take on responsibility and confidently form new processes
